Globo Ensemble was founded in 2016 in the Chamber Music Institute of the Reina Sofia Superior Music School in Madrid (Spain). The musical work of this group is recognized and appreciated both for its technical quality and the precision with which they approach the musical pieces, as well as for the artistic expression of their interpretations. Since 2016, for five consecutive years, they have won the prize for the “Most Outstanding Wind Quintet” of the Chamber Music Institut of Madrid. In 2019 they have been semi finalists in the prestigious “Carl Nielsen International Competition” held in the city of Copenhague. They have won some well-known scholarships of concerts in Spain (AIEnRuta, MUSAE…) and as a result they have made lots of concerts tours around Spain, playing in some of the most emblematic auditoriums of the country, such as the Chamber Music Hall of the National Auditorium of Madrid, Fundación Juan March, Sala Botín of Santander and so many more. They are plenty involved in Chamber Music of Wind Quintet and for this reason they are aware of newly created music, having among their projects the commissioning of new music from young composers.
