Haydn vs. Mozart

Both Haydn and Mozart dedicated a solo work with orchestra for the wind ensemble. These have been called sinfonia concertante and are unique in musical literature regarding the numerical structure and the instrumental combination. Joseph Haydn had the ideea of combinig four instruments, two wind players (oboe and bassoon) and two strings (violin and cello) and W. A. Mozart had the idea of ​​combining four solo instruments (oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon), both of them accompanied by orchestra.
